Connecting a Heart Rate Monitor to the Zwift Hub

Follow these steps if you want to use your Zwift Hub as a Bluetooth bridge to connect your heart rate monitor:

You can't connect a smartwatch to the Zwift Hub as a heart rate monitor. If you want to use your smartwatch as a heart rate monitor, you'll need to connect it directly with Zwift.

  1. If you don't already have it, you'll need to download the Zwift Companion (ZC) app from the Google Play Store or the iOS App Store.

  2. After powering on your Zwift Hub, open the ZC app and sign in, if necessary.

Don't pair your trainer to the Zwift game.

  3. Check that Bluetooth on your mobile device is switched on and the LED on your Zwift Hub is flashing blue.

You may need Location services turned on to pair BLE devices when using the Zwift Companion app.

If you're using an iOS device, you may need to turn Bluetooth on for Companion in your device Settings.

  4. Access the ZC app menu by completing one of the following:
    • If you're using an Android device, select the Android Menu icon.
    • If you're using an iOS device, select MORE in the bottom navigation bar.
  5. Select ZWIFT HARDWARE.
  6. Select your Zwift Hub.
  7. If a firmware update is available for the Zwift Hub, update the firmware now.

  8. Select PAIR DEVICE.

  9. Select your heart rate monitor when it displays.

    • Make sure you're wearing your heart rate monitor and it's turned on so the ZC app can find it.

  10. Once you pair your Zwift Hub to Zwift, complete these steps in the PAIRED DEVICES screen:
    1. Select HEART RATE.
    2. Select your Zwift Hub when it displays.
    3. Select OK.

When connected, you'll see the HRM Connected Icon icon next to the POWER SOURCE and HEART RATE tiles in the PAIRED DEVICES.

To connect your heart rate monitor with another device after connecting with the Zwift Hub, disconnect the power from your Zwift Hub before attempting to connect to another device.
