What Treadmills and Sensors Does Zwift Support?

Trying to figure out what you need to run?

Other than a device that meets or exceeds our minimum requirements, you'll one of the following two combinations: a smart treadmill OR any treadmill and a footpod/Bluetooth shoes. Any treadmill/sensor using the native BLE FTMS protocol or the Wahoo GEM module should work, and we've included a list of treadmills sensors that we've confirmed below.

For a full overview of what you need to run in Zwift, see this article.

Current as of February 2018:

If you have one of these treadmills, it will connect directly with Zwift:
No additional footpod or shoes necessary.

  • BowFlex BXT116/BXT216/BXT226 treadmills
  • Any StarTrac treadmills with a Bluetooth button
  • LifeFitness home treadmills equipped with the Track Connect console
  • True Fitness Performance 300
  • Technogym MyRun treadmill

These footpods work with Zwift:
Most ANT+ and Bluetooth Smart running footpods should work with Zwift, including:

*This is a limited Zwift promo version. Quantities may be limited.

NOTE: ANT+ connections require a receiver; usually plugged in to a USB port. iOS devices require additional hardware to convert the ANT+ signal to bluetooth. Bluetooth devices do not require a receiver but use the native Bluetooth capability of Mac, iOS or Apple TV. The Zwift Companion app for mobile devices can also be used to receive Bluetooth and transmit to a PC via WiFi. See our Bluetooth article for more details.

These Bluetooth shoes work with Zwift:

  • UnderArmour Record Equipped shoes

Note: Bluetooth devices do not require a receiver, but use the Zwift Companion app for smartphones or native Bluetooth capability (Mac/iOS/Apple TV). See our Bluetooth article for more details.

We'll be adding full support for additional treadmills and sensors as we continue development, so don't worry too much if you have a setup that isn't listed right now. There's also a lot you can do even if you don't have the right equipment

If you have any other questions, open a support ticket with us, and we'll get back to you!
