Password Help

Logging into Zwift should be a painless process, especially if you've ticked the "remember password" box. But occasionally there's issues with how your username/password has been entered, or you need to reset your password and are having issues - so we'll cover how to address those below.

Login Errors

If you receive an "Invalid Username or Password" error message when trying to log in, there's a few possibilities:

  1. You haven't created your account yet
  2. You mistyped your email
  3. You mistyped your password
  4. You've encountered a bug preventing you from logging in

We'll address each of these scenarios below.

You haven't created your account

When you first download, install, and run Zwift on your computer, it will have you create an account, which includes creating a password. This account will allow you to log into the game, Zwift Link Mobile app, your dashboard, and our support hub. If you're not sure whether you have an account under an email or not, you can try to reset the password for it (see instructions in the reset password section). If you receive the password reset email, you have an account - and if you don't, you need to create an account.

You mistyped your email

Look for errors, including:

  • Missed letters in your email (i.e. gmail.co instead of gmail.com).
  • Mistyping the domain (i.e. “gamil.com” instead of “gmail.com”).
  • You created your account under a mistyped email address. Check your inbox for Zwift emails we've already sent you. If you never received any, you may have mistyped your email when you created your account. Submit a support ticket so we can help.

You mistyped your password

If you're sure you've typed your password correctly, you may want to reset your password (see instructions in the reset password section).

You've encountered a bug preventing you from logging in

Check our known issues for ongoing bugs and our announcements forum for maintenance or outages.

 

How do I reset my password?

There's two different ways to reset your password: through your Zwift dashboard and through the Zwift Mobile Link app. 

Resetting your password on the dashboard:

  1. Go to support.zwift.com.
  2. Click on "Sign In" in the upper right-hand corner. This will take you to our Log In page. 
  3. Underneath the username and password fields will be a 'Forgot Password?' link.
  4. Enter the same email address that you used to sign up with, and you should receive a password reset email (be sure to check your Spam folder).
  5. Follow the instructions in the email to reset your password.

Resetting your password in the mobile app:

  1. Open the Zwift Mobile Link app on your mobile device.
  2. Below the login field, tap the "Forgot Your Password" link.
  3. Enter the email address you used to sign up with, tap the Reset button, and you should receive a password reset email (be sure to check your Spam folder).
  4. Follow the instructions in the email to reset your password.

 

How do I create an account?

1. Go to Zwift.com and click the Free Trial button. You'll be redirected to our download page.

2. Make sure that the correct OS for your computer is selected, then click the Download Now button.

3. After the Setup file downloads, run it and progress through the prompts to install Zwift on your computer. Zwift will automatically start the Launcher as this completes.

4. As the update is finishing, you'll be presented with the Login screen. Below the Password field, you'll see a "Create New Account" button.

5. Fill out the information fields to create your account.
