ZwiftPower FAQ

Check out this FAQ for some of our frequently asked questions on ZwiftPower:

Q: What is ZwiftPower and what does it do?

A: Great question! Zwift Power is a website that offers Zwifters a more detailed view of their performance as well as showing the results for all Zwift events. It also allows event organizers to create unique rules for their events within ZwiftPower and even provide overall results for a series of events.

Q: How are event categories determined in ZwiftPower?

A: Event categories in both Zwift and ZwiftPower are calculated using our Category Enforcement metrics.

Q: Is zPower different from ZwiftPower?

A: Yes. zPower refers to a Zwift-supported wheel-on trainer and speed sensor setup that estimates a rider’s power output.

Q: Do I need to use ZwiftPower if I want to race on Zwift?

A: Many races on the Zwift event event calendar don't require you to use ZwiftPower. However, if you’re racing in a series that does use ZwiftPower, you'll need to opt-in on zwift.com to connect ZwiftPower to Zwift then log in to ZwiftPower—you'll use your Zwift credentials.

The event description will usually specify if ZwiftPower is required.

Q: I want to connect my Zwift account to ZwiftPower. How do I go about doing that?

A: That's great to hear! Check out our article for steps on connecting your Zwift account to ZwiftPower.

Q: What are leagues in ZwiftPower?

A: Zwiftpower segments are the sections in the worlds of Zwift that have a timer attached to them. They can be either KOM or sprint points.

Q: Why didn't my race/activity upload to ZwiftPower?

A: We're sorry about that! Every once in a while, your race/activity won't upload to ZwiftPower. If an event is not showing up on your profile, please allow up to 24 hours. If you still don't see it, you may have either left the event early or had an error when the data was uploading after the ride was finished. If this is the case, we won't be able to add the event to your profile.

Q: Why aren't my past events showing up on ZwiftPower?

A: Only the events you participate in after you connect your Zwift and ZwiftPower accounts are shown in ZwiftPower.

Q: My activities are showing up in ZwiftPower, but I don't see my power metrics. Why not?

A: It takes ZwiftPower sometime after a race is over to pull the data. In addition, (with the exception of the displayed pace group)ZwiftPower only pulls from races and group rides that are on the Zwift calendar. Your pace group displayed in ZwiftPower is calculated from all activities on Zwift, not just races and group rides.

Remember, ZwiftPower is primarily for events and event results. Meetups, workouts, and free rides will show under the ‘activities’ tab of your ZwiftPower profile.

Q: How do I view my ZwiftPower results?

A: All of your event results, from the date you connected ZwiftPower to Zwift, are available to view on your profile in ZwiftPower.

Q: Why is my result in ZwiftPower different to my result in Zwift?

A: There's a couple of reasons your result may be different in ZwiftPower. If an event organizer disqualifies a result, the disqualified result will not display in the results table in ZwiftPower, which will cause a difference between the results shown in Zwift and ZwiftPower. Further, if a member hasn't opted in to ZwiftPower, you'll see their results in Zwift, but not in ZwiftPower, again causing in a difference between the results shown in Zwift and ZwiftPower.

Q: I believe another rider has suspicious results. How can I report them?

A: We’re committed to fostering a fair environment for all Zwifters. If you think another rider has achieved their results unfairly, fill out this form, and we'll make sure to look into it.

Q: I think my results in ZwiftPower have been disqualified, I'd like to question this, what should I do?

A: We're sorry to hear that and are more than happy to look into it, reach out to us - we're here to help!

  • Blue lightning bolt: Your results were calculated from your .fit file for that activity, uploaded after the race.

Your activities must be set to public for the .fit file to be sent to ZwiftPower.

Q: How do I delete results from my profile?

A: ZwiftPower was created to provide transparent Zwift racing data. For this reason, we're unable to remove results with the above tags caused by miscalibrated trainers, incorrect data entry, or similar issues. The good news is as you complete more events, your overall results will become more accurate. If you believe your results were tagged incorrectly, reach out to us - we're here to help!
