# Zwift Hub is Making Noise

Here are a few things to check out if you feel your Zwift Hub is making strange noises:

*   Your [bike is properly mounted](https://support.zwift.com/mounting-your-bike-on-the-zwift-hub-Hk5yTpIko) on the Zwift Hub.
    
    Check out our article for info on [removing your bike](https://support.zwift.com/en_us/removing-your-bike-from-the-zwift-hub-ry_tL8so) from the Zwift Hub.
    
*   Your Zwift Hub is seated firmly on a flat, level surface.
    
*   All nuts and bolts are [securely tightened](https://support.zwift.com/setting-up-your-zwift-hub-HkNlKB6Jo) on your Zwift Hub.
    
*   The cassette installed on your Zwift Hub matches the speed and ratio of the cassette on your bike.

*   The cassette installed on your Zwift Hub is in good condition.
    
*   If you're riding with a 10 speed cassette or less, the cassette spacer is installed on the freehub body.
    
    If you're installing an 8, 9, or 10 speed cassette, you'll need to install the provided spacer. You don't need a spacer with an 11 or 12 speed cassette.
    
*   The chain on your bike is in good condition and is lubricated.
    
*   The gears on your bike are [indexed correctly](https://support.zwift.com/en_us/indexing-your-gears-BywvPTb6q).
    
*   The B-gap on your bike is [properly adjusted](https://support.zwift.com/en_us/adjusting-your-b-gap-B1whVaWp).
    

If you're still hearing strange noises after checking the above, you might need to [inspect the cassette and freehub body](https://support.zwift.com/en_us/inspecting-the-cassette-and-freehub-body-on-your-zwift-hub-S1tROG9h1g) on your Zwift Hub.
