Updating Your Zwift Play Firmware
If this is your first time using your Zwift Play or you want to update to the most recent firmware, follow these steps:
Before updating firmware, ensure your Zwift Play controllers and the mobile device running the Zwift Companion app are fully charged or plugged in.
If possible, use your personal phone to update your Zwift Play firmware to avoid running into issues with limited permissions.

If you don't already have it, you'll need to download the Zwift Companion (ZC) app from the Google Play Store or the iOS App Store.
After powering on your Zwift Play controllers, open the ZC app and sign in, if necessary.
Don't pair your controllers to the Zwift game.
Check that Bluetooth on your mobile device is switched on and the LED on your Zwift Play is flashing blue.
You may need Location services turned on to pair BLE devices when using the Zwift Companion app.
If you're using an iOS device, you may need to turn Bluetooth on for Companion in your device Settings.
- Access the ZC app menu by completing one of the following:

icon.
- If you're using an iOS device, select MORE in the bottom navigation bar.

- Select ZWIFT HARDWARE.
- Select ZWIFT PLAY.
If a firmware update is available, select UPDATE FIRMWARE.
Select PROCEED to start the firmware update.
The LED on the controller is solid yellow when the firmware is updating.
Once the firmware is up-to-date, select OK when prompted in the ZC app.
