# Troubleshooting for Wahoo KICKR Trainers and Bikes

If you’re having trouble using your Wahoo KICKR trainer or bike with Zwift, please pair your hardware with the Wahoo Fitness app for [iOS](https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/wahoo-fitness/id391599899?mt=8) or [Android](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wahoofitness.fitness). If the trainer or bike pairs and works as expected with the Wahoo Fitness app, here’s a few things to try:

If your device isn’t working with the Wahoo Fitness app, please refer to Wahoo’s Self-Help [Guide](https://wahoofitness.yonyx.com/y/conversation/?id=c699fe20-be88-11e7-b908-bc764e10c19d&did=c37ae410-ca1e-11e7-8f60-bc764e10c19d) or contact [Wahoo Support](https://support.wahoofitness.com/hc/en-us).

* Check that your trainer or bike has the latest firmware from Wahoo.

You can check and update your firmware with the WAHOO Fitness app—which is available for [iOS](https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/wahoo-fitness-bluetooth-powered/id391599899?mt=8&uo=8&at=11lGCe) or [Android](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wahoofitness.fitness).

* If you have a Wahoo KICKR v4 or earlier, try manually calibrating the trainer.

You can calibrate your trainer with the Wahoo Fitness app—which is available for [iOS](https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/wahoo-fitness-bluetooth-powered/id391599899?mt=8&uo=8&at=11lGCe) or [Android](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wahoofitness.fitness).

* If the KICKR trainer or bike is working well with the Wahoo Fitness app, the issue could be related to your [ANT+/BLE](https://support.zwift.com/en_us/ant-and-ble-overview-B1S1BVgr) signal.

* If you’re connecting over [ANT+](https://support.zwift.com/en_us/ant-and-ble-overview-B1S1BVgr), make sure you have a compatible ANT+ dongle installed.

* Make sure you select **POWER SOURCE** in the **PAIRED DEVICES** screen.

* Check the trainer or bike is in the correct mode, i.e. SIM or ERG mode.

SIM mode allows Zwift to control the resistance based on the course gradient.

Ride On.
