# Treadmill Incline Control

If you have a paid Zwift subscription—or you're on a free trial—and you have a Wahoo KICKR RUN, your treadmill can talk to Zwift and automatically adjust your incline as you run in Zwift! There's a few things to keep in mind when using incline control:

Exercise caution when using the incline control feature and be prepared for sudden movements. Always follow your treadmill's safety instructions.

*   You can turn incline control on or off from the [action bar](https://support.zwift.com/using-the-heads-up-display-when-running-rk7qR2zvr) in-game.
    
*   You can turn incline control on or off from the [in-game settings](https://support.zwift.com/en_us/in-game-settings-for-running-S19RqzboR).
    
*   If you manually adjust the incline of your treadmill while running, incline control will turn off.
    
*   Incline control is not available in workouts.
    
*   Incline control supports gradients between -3% and +15%.
    
*   Gradient changes occur ~1% per second.
    
*   For the best experience, make sure to have the latest firmware version on your treadmill.
