# Steering with a KICKR BIKE

If you have a Wahoo KICKR BIKE or a Wahoo KICKR BIKE SHIFT, you can steer on nearly any road in Zwift by following these steps:

Steering with the Wahoo KICKR BIKE is not available over ANT+.

1.  Open **Zwift** and sign in.
2.  Select the **KICKR BIKE** as your **POWER SOURCE** and then select the **KICKR BIKE** as your **RESISTANCE**, **CADENCE**, and **CONTROLS** device.
3.  Once you are paired, select **OK**.
    
4.  Make your world choice and route selection, then select **START RIDE**.
    
5.  When you start pedaling, the **WELCOME TO STEERING!** screen displays, select **OK**.
    
    The WELCOME TO STEERING! screen only displays the first time you connect your Wahoo KICKR BIKE.
    
6.  Using the KICKR BIKE function buttons located under your thumb when gripping the hoods, press and hold the direction you want your avatar to move.
    
    You'll see the ![Steering On Icon](https://zwiftdmz-marcom-us-east.s3.amazonaws.com/support/EN/Cycling/Resources/Images/Steering%20On%20Icon.png "Steering On")icon in the Heads up Display (HUD) letting you know you're in steering mode.
    
7.  To use a Power Up directly from your bike, press the Right Plus button.
    
8.  To perform a U-Turn directly from your bike, press the Right Minus button.
