# Sending Crash Logs to Support

We understand Zwift crashing can be frustrating—but we’ll do everything we can to try and help you out. To help get to the root cause, we may ask you to send us the crash logs from your device. Follow the steps below to send crash logs from your [PC](#PC), [Mac](#Mac), [Android](#Android) or [iOS](#iOS), device.

If possible, please don't include any [.fit files](https://support.zwift.com/en_us/your-history-and-fit-files-SJbHywdNH) with your crash logs.

## PC

Depending on when your issue occurred, complete the steps in one of the sections below:

### Issue Occurred Within 24 Hours

If your issue occurred sometime within the last 24 hours, follow these steps:

1.  Open this [XML file](https://content-cdn.zwift.com/uploads/2018/08/EventViewer_24Hour.xml "link ").
2.  Place your cursor in the center of the window and right-click.
3.  When the menu populates, select **Save as**.

4.  Select **New Folder** in the top left corner and create a folder named **Crash Log**.
5.  Save the file in the **Crash Log** folder.
6.  Select the magnifying glass and type **Event Viewer**.

7.  Select **Event Viewer**in the listed search results.

8.  Select **Import Custom View...**in the right-hand pane.

9.  Navigate to the **Crash Log** folder and open the file.
10.  Select **OK**.

11.  In the right-hand pane, select **Save All Events** **in Custom View As...**

12.  Navigate to the **Crash Log** folder.
13.  Name the file and then select **Save**.
14.  Select **Display information for these languages:** 
15.  Select **OK**.

16.  Attach the file you just saved to your next response to our [Community Support team](https://support.zwift.com/contact/ "Community Support team"), and we'll take it from there!

### Issue Occurred within the Past Week

If your issue occurred more than a day ago, but within the past week, follow these steps:

1.  Open this [XML file](https://content-cdn.zwift.com/uploads/2018/08/EventViewer_7Day.xml "here ").
2.  Place your cursor in the center of the window and right-click.
3.  When the menu populates, select **Save as**.

8.  Select **Import Custom View...**in the right-hand pane.

9.  Navigate back to the **Crash Log** folder and open the file.
10.  Select **OK**.

11.  In the right-hand pane, select **Save All Events** **in Custom View As...**

12.  Navigate to the **Crash Log** folder.
13.  Name the file and then select **Save**.
14.  Select **Display information for these languages:** 
15.  Select **OK**.

16.  Attach the file you just saved to your next response to our [Community Support team](https://support.zwift.com/contact/ "Community Support team"), and we'll take it from there!

## Mac

If you're using a Mac, complete these steps:

### Zwift's Crash Error Screen is Still Open

If Zwift just crashed and the **Crash Error** window is still open, complete these steps:

1.  In the **Crash Error** window, select **Report**.
2.  Inside the report, copy the text.
3.  Create a Word document and name it "Zwift Report.".
4.  Paste the diagnostic report into the Zwift Report document.
5.  Save the Zwift Report document to your computer.
6.  Select the ![Mac Finder App](https://zwiftdmz-marcom-us-east.s3.amazonaws.com/support/EN/Cycling/Resources/Images/Mac_finder_37x31.png "Finder") icon in your Dock.
7.  When the **Finder** window loads, select **Documents**.
8.  Double-click on the **Zwift** folder.
9.  Copy the entire **Logs** folder.
10.  Send the **Logs** folder and the Zwift Report document to our [Community Support team](https://support.zwift.com/contact/ "Community Support team"), and we'll take it from there!

### Zwift's Crash Error Screen is Closed

If you closed the crash report or just missed it the first time, complete these steps:

1.  Select the ![](https://zwiftdmz-marcom-us-east.s3.amazonaws.com/support/EN/Cycling/Resources/Images/Mac_search_icon.png) icon in the top right corner of your screen.
    
2.  When the **Spotlight Search** bar loads, type "Console".
3.  Select **Console** in your search results.
    
4.  When the **Console** window loads, select **Crash Reports.**
5.  Select **ZwiftApp** at the date and time of your crash.
    
6.  Inside the report, copy the text.
7.  Create a Word document and name it "Zwift Report".
8.  Paste the diagnostic report into the Zwift Report document.
    
9.  Select the ![Mac Finder App](https://zwiftdmz-marcom-us-east.s3.amazonaws.com/support/EN/Cycling/Resources/Images/Mac_finder_40x34.png "Finder") icon in your Dock.
10.  When the **Finder** window loads, select **Documents**.
11.  Double-click on the **Zwift** folder.
12.  Copy the entire **Logs** folder.
13.  Send the **Logs** folder and the Zwift Report document to our [Community Support team](https://support.zwift.com/contact/ "Community Support team"), and we'll take it from there!

## Android

If you're using an Android device, follow these steps:

To generate crash logs from an Android device, you'll need to enable Developer options.

1.  If you haven't already, enable Developer options on your device.
    
    *   Navigate to the **Build number** in the **Settings** on your phone.
        
        The exact location of the Build number varies by device.
        
    *   Select the **Build number** seven times, until you see the **You are now a developer!** message.
        
2.  Navigate to and select the **Developer options** on your device.
    
    The exact location of Developer options varies by device.
    
3.  In the **Developer options**, select **Bug report**.
    
    *   If prompted, select **Full report** from the types of report you'd like to generate.
        
4.  Once generated, pull down the notification bar and select the report.
    
    *   If the report is still being generated, wait for the report to finish.
        
5.  Select your email client and send the bug report to our [Community Support team](https://support.zwift.com/contact/ "Community Support team"), and we'll take it from there!
    

## iOS

If you're using an iPad, iPhone, or Apple TV, follow these steps:

1.  Go to **Settings** > **Privacy** (or **Privacy & Security**) and select **Analytics & Improvements**.
    
2.  From the **Analytics & Improvements** options, select **Analytics Data**.
    
3.  Scroll down to the Zwift files and select the file with the date that relates to your crash.
    
    *   If you don't see the file, look under **JetsamEvent**. High-memory use crashes are listed under JetsamEvent.
        
4.  Select the share icon to select your email client and send the bug report to our [Community Support team](https://support.zwift.com/contact/ "Community Support team"), and we'll take it from there!
    
    *   Select **Save to Files** to save the log to send at a later time.
        
        On an Apple TV, you may need to AirDrop the file to a nearby device before you can attach it to email.
