# Resolving Mac BLE Pairing Issues After an Update

Some Mac users report BLE pairing issues after a Zwift or an OS update. Here are a few options you can try to resolve these issues:

## Check Bluetooth Permissions

* Check that Bluetooth access is enabled for Zwift in your Mac's Privacy settings.

* Turn off Bluetooth on your Mac and then turn it back on again.

* Open Zwift and try pairing.

*   Uninstall and [reinstall Zwift](https://support.zwift.com/en_us/re-installing-zwift-BymCF82TH).

If you’re prompted during installation or first launch, be sure to allow Bluetooth and Local Network permissions so Zwift can pair with your devices and communicate with the Zwift Companion app. You can adjust these permissions anytime in your device’s Privacy settings.

## Resetting PRAM

To reset your PRAM, try these quick steps:

1. Shut down your machine.
2. Press the power button and then hold **Command-Option-P-R** until your Mac reboots again.

## Removing Potentially Corrupt Files

Follow these steps to remove any corrupt files:

1. Open Finder on your Mac and select the **Go** menu in Menu Bar.
2. Select the **Go to Folder…**
3. Type in **/Library/Preferences** and then select the blue **Go** button.
4. In the new Finder window that opens, locate the **com.apple.Bluetooth.plist** file, right click on it, and select **Move to Trash**.
5. Open the **Go** menu in the Menu Bar once again, and just like before, select **Go to Folder** option again.
6. In the **Go to Folder** window, delete any text in the text field and type in **/Library/Preferences/ByHost** into the text field and select the blue **Go** button.
7. When the **Finder** window opens, locate the **com.apple.Bluetooth.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxfile**, right click on it, and select **Move to Trash**.

This file starts with com.apple.Bluetooth, and the rest of the file will have a random mix of numbers and letters, which is different for everybody. Don’t worry if the list of files looks intimidating, there should only be one com.apple.Bluetooth file here.

8. Reboot your Mac.

## Resetting the Bluetooth Module

To reset your Mac’s Bluetooth module, follow these steps:

1. While holding down the **Shift**  and **Option** keys, select the **Bluetooth** menu in your Menu Bar on your Mac.
2. Select **Debug**.
3. Select **Remove all devices**.
4. Select the **Bluetooth** menu in your Menu Bar on your Mac.
5. Select **Debug**.
6. Select **Reset the Bluetooth**.
7. Re-pair all of your Bluetooth accessories and everything should work as expected.

Ride On.
