# Resetting Your Game Preferences

If Zwift isn’t working as expected—such as issues with device pairing, display, or audio—you can reset your game preferences if you're running Zwift on a computer. This restores default settings the next time you launch Zwift.

## Reset Preferences on Mac

To reset your Zwift preferences on a Mac, complete these steps:

1.  Close Zwift.
2.  Open **Finder**.
3.  Select **Documents**.
4.  Select **Zwift**.
5.  Delete the following files:
    *   knowndevices.xml
    *   prefs.xml

## Reset Preferences on Windows (PC)

1.  Close Zwift.

2. Locate the **Z** icon in the notification area of the taskbar.

    * If needed, select **˄** to show hidden icons.

3. Right-click the **Z** icon and select **Open Logs Folder**.

4. In the file path at the top of the window, select **Zwift**.

5.  Delete the following files:
    *   knowndevices.xml
    *   prefs.xml

## Things to Know

* Resetting your preferences doesn’t delete your activities, workouts, or account data.

* If you're experiencing similar issues on a mobile device, try uninstalling then reinstalling Zwift.
