# Resetting the Zwift Launcher

Zwift's launcher runs off the web browser that is built into your computer's operating system. For Windows, this is Microsoft Edge, and for Mac, it's Safari. Even if you normally use a different web browser for web surfing or have a different browser set as your default, the Zwift launcher will still use these applications. If you're experiencing issues with the launcher, following the processes below can often resolve these problems:

## Microsoft Edge

1. Launch **Microsoft Edge.**
2. Select the **Settings and more** icon in the upper right corner of the browser.

![Select settings and more icon (elipses)](https://zwiftdmz-marcom-us-east.s3.amazonaws.com/support/EN/Cycling/Resources/Images/Edge%20Settings%20and%20more%20icon.png "Select ...")

3. Select **Settings** and then select **Privacy, search, and services**.
4. Under **Clear browsing data**, select **Choose what to clear** next to **Clear browsing data now**.
5. Select a **Time range** from the drop-down options—usually **Last 24 hours** is a good option.
6. Check that **Cookies and other site data** is selected. You can select or deselect any other types of browsing data you want to clear.
7. Select **Clear now**.
8. Close Microsoft Edge.

## Safari

Once you complete the steps below, your cache, cookies, and temporary internet files are cleared, and you've exited the web browser, Zwift should launch normally.

1. Launch **Safari**.
2. Select **History**.
3. Select **Clear History** at the bottom of this menu.
4. In the popup, select **All History** from the drop-down menu.
5. Select **Clear History**.

Ride On.
