# Reinstalling Zwift

If Zwift isn’t working as expected, reinstalling the app can resolve many issues. This process removes your current Zwift files and installs the latest version.

Reinstalling Zwift deletes any custom workouts stored locally on your computer. Back up these files before you begin.

## Backup Custom Workouts and Activities

Before uninstalling Zwift, back up your files using a computer:

1.  Locate your Zwift Activities and Workouts folders. See: [Locating Your Activity, Log, and Workout Files](https://support.zwift.com/en_us/locating-your-activity-log-and-workout-files-BykKO63fr)
    
2.  Copy both folders to a safe location (for example, your desktop).
    

## Reinstall Zwift on Mac

1.  Open **Finder**.
2.  Select **Applications**, then drag the **Zwift** folder to the Trash.
3.  Open **Documents**, then drag the **Zwift** folder to the Trash.
4.  Open **Downloads**, then drag the **Zwift** folder to the Trash.
5.  From the **Menu** bar, select **Go**.
6.  Press and hold the **Option** key, then select **Library**.
7.  Open **Application Support**.
8.  Drag the **Zwift** folder to the Trash.
9.  Right-click the Trash icon and select **Empty Trash**.
10.  [Download and install](https://support.zwift.com/en_us/downloading-and-launching-zwift-Skh3Z4eS) the latest version of Zwift.
11.  If you created backups, paste your **Activities** or **Workouts** folders back into the **Zwift** folder.

## Reinstall Zwift on Windows (PC)

1.  Open the **Start** menu.
    
2.  Search for **Zwift**.
    
3.  Right-click **Zwift**, then select **Uninstall**.
    
    *   If prompted, confirm the uninstall.
        
4.  Delete any **Zwift** folders from the following locations:
    
    *   C:\\Program Files (x86)\\
        
    *   C:\\Users\\\[your.username\]\\AppData\\Local\\
        
        *   If you don’t see the AppData folder, select the **View** tab, then select **Show** > **Hidden items**.
            
    *   C:\\Users\\\[your.username\]\\Documents\\
        
5.  Restart your computer.
    
6.  [Download and install](https://support.zwift.com/en_us/downloading-and-launching-zwift-Skh3Z4eS) the latest version of Zwift.

## Reinstall Zwift on iOS and Android

1.  Uninstall Zwift.
2.  Re-install Zwift from the [App Store](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/zwift-ride-and-run/id1134655040) or [Google Play Store](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zwift.zwiftgame&hl=en).

## Reinstall Zwift on Apple TV

1.  On the Apple TV home screen, select the Zwift app.
    
2.  Press and hold the clickpad center or touch surface of your remote until the app moves.
    
3.  Press the **Play/Pause** button on your remote.
    
4.  Select **Delete**, then select **Delete** again to confirm.
    
5.  Re-install Zwift from the [App Store.](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/zwift-ride-and-run/id1134655040)
