# Meetups

With Zwift you can ride with others from all over the world—but sometimes you might want to ride with specific people. If you're looking to get together with friends on Zwift, there are a few different ways to make that happen. One of the easiest ways is to create a Meetup. A Meetup is a group ride or run you can schedule with other Zwifters directly in the Zwift Companion (ZC) app. If you're ready to [create](#Creating_a_Meetup), [join](#Joining), or [edit](#Editing_a_Meetup) a Meetup, check out the steps below:

## Creating a Meetup

Creating a Meetup with fellow Zwifters is easy when you're using the ZC app. Keep the following in mind before you get started:

*   To include another Zwifter in a Meetup, they must be [following you](https://support.zwift.com/en_us/managing-followers-Hy2AALONB "article").
    
*   The maximum number of followers you can invite is 100.
*   You can schedule a Meetup up to seven days ahead of time.
*   You can Meetup in any of our available worlds.
*   Once you're in a Meetup, you're unable to turn or U-turn without leaving the Meetup.

To create a Meetup, complete these steps:

1.  If you haven't already, open the ZC app.
    
2.  Access the **EVENTS** page by completing one of the following:
    
    *   If you're using an Android device, select the ![Zwift Companion app menu button](https://zwiftdmz-marcom-us-east.s3.amazonaws.com/support/EN/Cycling/Resources/Images/ZC_Menu_Button.png "Menu Button") icon then select **Events**.
    *   If you're using an iOS device, select **EVENTS** in the bottom navigation bar.
3.  Select the ![Select Meetup icon](https://zwiftdmz-marcom-us-east.s3.amazonaws.com/support/EN/Cycling/Resources/Images/Meetup%20Icon.png "Select Meetup Icon") icon.
4.  Select **CREATE MEETUP**.

1.  In the **CREATE MEETUP** screen, select Cycling or Running under the **WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO?** field.
2.  Under **WHEN DO YOU WANT TO MEET?**, enter a date and time.
3.  Select the **WHERE DO YOU WANT TO GO?** drop-down menus and pick a world and route.
4.  Select **DISTANCE** or **DURATION** and update the field to the right.
5.  Select the ![Orange Plus](https://zwiftdmz-marcom-us-east.s3.amazonaws.com/support/EN/Cycling/Resources/Images/Advanced%20Features/Orange_plus_32x32.png "Plus") icon below the **WHO DO YOU WANT TO INVITE?** field.
6.  When the **INVITE ZWIFTERS** screen loads, select the ![Orange Plus](https://zwiftdmz-marcom-us-east.s3.amazonaws.com/support/EN/Cycling/Resources/Images/Advanced%20Features/Orange_plus_33x33.png "Plus") icon next to each Zwifter you'd like to invite to the Meetup.   
    
    Once selected, the icon will change to a green check mark.
    
    *   If you're using an Android device, select **SAVE** after selecting Zwifters.
        
    *   If you're using an iOS device, select ![Select back icon](https://zwiftdmz-marcom-us-east.s3.amazonaws.com/support/EN/Cycling/Resources/Images/ZC%20Back%20Arrow%20iOS.png "Select Icon") after selecting Zwifters.
        
7.  Under **CUSTOMIZE YOUR MEETUP**, select an option from the drop-down:
    *   None
    *   Keep Everyone Together
        
        Selecting Keep Everyone Together will prevent people from dropping from the group while they are riding. If anyone in the Meetup stops pedaling, they'll be dropped from the group, and it may be difficult to rejoin.
        
    *   Race Results
        
        Selecting Race Results will display the rank, time, and watts of each person in the Meetup after the Meetup ends.
        
8.  If you only want to see Zwifters attending the Meetup, select the slider next to **Meetup-Only View**.
    
    When Meetup-Only View is selected, everyone else in the world will be hidden and you'll only see Zwifters that are attending the Meetup.
    
9.  If you want to add a description to the Meetup, enter one in the **MESSAGE YOUR GROUP** field.
10.  When you're happy with your settings, completing one of the following:
    
    *   If you're using an Android device, select **SAVE**.
    *   If you're using an iOS device, select **CREATE MEETUP**.

# Joining a Meetup

Follow these steps to join a Meetup:

1.  Open the ZC app on your device.
2.  Select the invitation notification on the home screen.

1.  Select **GOING** from the popup window.

1.  You can select to set a reminder in ZC for 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or 60 minutes before the Meetup starts.
2.  You can select to set a calendar reminder for 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or 60 minutes before the Meetup starts.
3.  Once you select your preferences, select **SAVE**.

1.  If this is your first time setting a reminder with ZC, select **OK**.

1.  When it's time for your Meetup, sign in before it's scheduled to start.

You can join a Meetup up to 30 minutes late!

A couple minutes before the Meetup starts, Zwift will take you to the starting point to wait with your friends.

# Editing a Meetup

If you want to delete or change the details of a Meetup, complete the steps below:

1.  If you haven't already, open the ZC app.
    
2.  Access the **EVENTS** page by completing one of the following:
    
    *   If you're using an Android device, select the ![Zwift Companion app menu button](https://zwiftdmz-marcom-us-east.s3.amazonaws.com/support/EN/Cycling/Resources/Images/ZC_Menu_Button.png "Menu Button") icon then select **Events**.
    *   If you're using an iOS device, select **EVENTS** in the bottom navigation bar.
3.  Select ![Select Meetup icon](https://zwiftdmz-marcom-us-east.s3.amazonaws.com/support/EN/Cycling/Resources/Images/Meetup%20Icon.png "Select Meetup Icon") to view your Meetups.
4.  Select the Meetup you want to edit.
    
5.  Select the ![White pencil and box on gray background](https://zwiftdmz-marcom-us-east.s3.amazonaws.com/support/EN/Cycling/Resources/Images/Advanced%20Features/Image%20from%20iOS%20(2)_24x25.png "Edit") icon in the top right corner.
6.  You can now modify or update any of the details for your Meetup.
    *   When you're happy with your settings, select **SAVE CHANGES**.
7.  If you want to delete the Meetup, complete one of the following:
    *   If you're using an Android device, select the ![Select delete icon](https://zwiftdmz-marcom-us-east.s3.amazonaws.com/support/EN/Cycling/Resources/Images/Delete%20Icon.png "Select Delete Icon") icon and then select **DELETE**.
    *   If you're using an iOS device, select **DELETE MEETUP** and then select **DELETE**.
