# Meetup FAQ

**Q:** What is a Meetup?

A: A Meetup is a group ride or run you can schedule with other Zwifters directly in the Zwift Companion (ZC) app—available on both iOS® and Android™ devices.

**Q:** How do I include another Zwifter in a Meetup?

A: To include another Zwifter in a Meetup, they must be [following](https://support.zwift.com/en_us/managing-followers-Hy2AALONB) you first.

**Q:** Can I join a Meetup late?

A: Yes! As long as Race Results aren't turned on, you can join up to 30 minutes late.

**Q:** What are Race Results?

A: You can now race with your friends or other Zwifters in meetups! Selecting Race Results when creating a meetup will display the rank, time, and watts of each person in the meetup after the meetup ends.

**Q:** How many Zwifters can I invite to a Meetup?

A: You can include up to 100 Zwifters in a Meetup.

**Q:** Can I create a Meetup with both runners and cyclists?

A: Nope, your Meetup will need to be either all runners or all cyclists.

**Q:** How far in advance can I schedule a Meetup?

A: You can schedule a Meetup up to 7 days in advance.

**Q:** Where in Zwift can I schedule a Meetup?

A: You can schedule a Meetup in any [Zwift world](https://support.zwift.com/zwift-worlds-and-cycling-routes-rk3PMBUht).

**Q:** Can I u-turn during a Meetup?

A: No, once you're in a Meetup, you're unable to turn or U-turn without leaving the group.

**Q:** How do I create a Meetup?

A: Using the ZC app is the easiest way to create a [Meetup](https://support.zwift.com/en_us/meetups-HJP7iUd4r).

**Q:** Do I need to turn or steer during a meetup to follow the course?

A: Nope! Zwift will lead you in the correct direction during a Meetup all you need to do pedal or run.

**Q:** Are Meetups private?

A: All Meetup are invite only. The creator of the Meetup needs to request each Zwifter that joins.

**Q:** How many Meetup can I create for each day?

A: The current max is 3 in one day.

**Q:** Do I need to pay to setup a Meetup?

A: Creating a Meetup is free and there's no charge to participate in one. The only requirement is that you have a Zwift account and an active membership.

**Q:**  Do I need show up to my own Meetup?

A: If you request a Meetup, we ask that you show up and participate for each associated ride or run. Each Meetup must have a designated Ride or Run Leader, which should be someone who was involved in planning the Meetup.

**Q:**  What's a beacon?

A:  A beacon is an icon that's used to indicate the leader of the Meetup.

**Q:** I only want to ride or run with the Zwifters in my Meetup. Is that possible?

A: Yes! By selecting the **Meetup-Only View** when creating a Meetup everyone else in the world will be hidden and you'll only see Zwifters that are attending the Meetup.
