# Leaderboards

Within Zwift there are official timed [segments](https://support.zwift.com/en_us/segments-jerseys-and-time-limits-BkGig0kZS7), each segment has its own leaderboard in-game. Segments include:

* [K/QOM](https://support.zwift.com/en_us/cycling-lingo-r1JwpDlcp#:~:text=King/Queen of the Mountains) climbs.
*   Sprints.
*   Best overall lap times.
*   Power.

You can also [view your segment data in the Zwift Companion (ZC) app](#Viewing_Segment_Data_in_the_Zwift_Companion_(ZC)_App).

As you enter segments, you'll see leaderboards display on the left of the screen. As you get close to the start of a segment and after you enter a segment, the leaderboard will only show that segment until you leave it. Below are some things to keep in mind:

* You can choose to always display leaderboards, or have them show up automatically when you enter segments in your [in-game settings](https://support.zwift.com/in-game-settings-for-cycling-Hy_tSDDnt).

* If you've selected to view Ride Stats and [Splits](https://support.zwift.com/splits-HkFgZWrzgl), you won't see leaderboards on your display, but your leaderboard position will show in the [center display](https://support.zwift.com/using-the-heads-up-display-when-cycling-rJepA4beS) when you complete the segment.

* Each segment's leaderboard shows the average gradient and total distance below the segment name.
* Leaderboards for power segments rank Zwifters on their highest average power rather than time.
* If you've completed the segment during your current session, you'll see your overall ranking out of everyone online.
* If you want to manually switch to a leaderboard as you're riding you can navigate between them using the colored buttons at the bottom of the boards.
* Leaderboards will alternate between different filters including:
    * Live results for overall rankings.
    *   A list of your 90 day PR’s.
    * For females, the overall women's rankings for that segment.
* If there are more riders on a leaderboard than can be displayed on one page, you can select and hold to drag the boards up or down, or you can mouse scroll in order to see other names.
* To keep things fresh, leaderboard times only last for an hour. A timer will appear next to times that are set to expire before they fade away.

## Viewing Segment Data in the ZC App

Follow these steps to view your segment data in the ZC app:

1. If you haven't already, open the ZC app.

2. Select **Routes** under **EXPLORE** in the **HOME** screen.

3. In the **EXPLORE** screen, select **Worlds** or **All Routes** depending on how you want to find your route.

4. Select the route you'd like to view segment data for.

5. In the **ROUTE** screen, select the segment you'd like to view data for.

    The same segment may appear in multiple routes—while you may not have completed a route, you may have completed segments within the route.

Ride On.
