# Issues With Zwift Crashing

We understand Zwift crashing can be frustrating, so here are some suggestions on what could be wrong and how you can fix it:

## Zwift Launcher Crashing

If Zwift crashes while you're updating, ZwiftLauncher is the problem. Here are a few common reasons that can cause the launcher to crash or fail to update:

* **A VPN or Proxy server:** This is most likely what's blocking you from connecting, as Zwift needs to connect directly to our servers. Try disabling it before launching Zwift.
* **Your Firewall:** Some computer firewalls will block Zwift, especially if they're enterprise strength. You may need to make an exception in your firewall for Zwift to connect.
* **Connecting Through a Router:** Try plugging in directly to your modem. Your router could have a firewall or setting that's preventing you from connecting to our servers.

Your router firewall should allow all incoming/outgoing TCP traffic on remote ports 443 and 3025, and all incoming/outgoing UDP traffic on remote port 3024. For troubleshooting tips, consult your Internet Service Provider.

* **Meeting Minimum Requirements:** Verify that your computer meets our [minimum requirements](https://support.zwift.com/en_us/supported-devices-to-run-zwift-H1Cj9QbeB). You need to have at least 5GB of free space on your hard drive and a destination folder that isn't a sync folder (i.e. Dropbox).
* **MacOS 10.15 Catalina:** Some members have trouble launching Zwift after updating their Mac to this operating system. Check out our article for [possible solutions](https://support.zwift.com/zwift-crashing-on-macos-catalina-rybWqxOrP).
