# Issues with Your Internet Connection

There are a few different reasons you might have issues with your internet connection. If your connection is dropping, here's some possible troubleshooting steps:

Issue

Solution

WiFi and Signal Strength

If you're on WiFi and your signal strength is only a couple bars, try and improve that either by moving closer to your router or running an Ethernet cable if possible.

Products like range extenders and powerline adapters may also be worth considering. If you can't get a consistently strong signal—you may want to consider using your mobile device as a WiFi hotspot and connecting to that as your internet source.

Other Internet-Intensive Applications

If you're running other Internet-intensive applications (e.g., video and music streaming services, games) at the same time as Zwift, try shutting them off to see if it reduces problems.

Router Issues

If other apps on your device do have an internet connection but Zwift reports that it doesn't, sometimes Zwift can have trouble communicating through your Router. We would then suggest giving your Modem and WiFi Router a reboot.

## Router WiFi Reboot

Rebooting your WiFi Router should be pretty easy. Typically, it can be done by following these steps:

1. Unplug the power cable from your Modem.
2. Unplug the power cable from your WiFi Router.
3. Leave both devices unplugged for 2 minutes to clear persistent settings.
4. Plug the power cable back into your Modem.
5. Wait 5 minutes for your Modem to completely boot.
6. Verify your Online or Internet LED indicator shows that your Modem is online.
7. Plug the power cable back into your WiFi Router.
8. Wait 3 minutes for your WiFi Router to completely boot and begin broadcasting WiFi.
9. Once you've verified you have internet access again, please reboot your Zwift device.

If that didn't help and you're consistently noticing connectivity issues, we recommend contacting your ISP as they may be able to better assist you in resolving this issue.
