# Issues Installing Zwift

If you can’t install Zwift, start by confirming your device is supported, see [Supported Devices to Run Zwift](https://support.zwift.com/supported-devices-to-run-zwift-H1Cj9QbeB). Then follow the steps for your device type below.

Avoid using work or school-issued devices if possible. These often have restrictions that can block installation.

## Computer

Try the following steps.

### Check Storage and Installer

1. Check your computer has at least 5 GB of free storage space.

2. Download the latest installer from [Zwift.com](https://zwift.com/download).

3. If you’ve downloaded Zwift before, delete the old installer file and download it again.

### Check Permissions

1. Make sure you’re using an administrator account on your device.

### Check Network and Connectivity

1. Turn off any active VPN or proxy service during installation.

2. If you’re on a work or school network, switch to a personal network.

3. Try downloading the installer using a different browser.

4. If the download fails repeatedly, try using a private/incognito browser window.

### Check Security Software

1. Make sure your antivirus software or firewall isn’t blocking Zwift.

### Check File Storage Location

1. Make sure your AppData, Documents, and Downloads folders are stored locally (not on a network drive).

2. If you use cloud storage (such as OneDrive or Dropbox), pause syncing during installation.

### PC

If installation still fails on a Windows device after trying the above steps, try the following:

1. Check your Zwift username. If it contains a single character or special character (symbols or punctuation), update it.

2. Confirm your AppData, Downloads, and Documents folders are in their default locations.

## Mobile Device

1. Connect to Wi-Fi. Zwift is over 100 MB and won’t install over data.

2. Confirm your device has at least 4 GB of available storage space.
