# Installing a Zwift Cog With Freehub

Use these steps to install a Zwift Cog with a freehub on a Zwift Cog Compatible trainer.

## Required Tools/Equipment

*   Zwift multi-trainer tool
    
*   Spacers included with Zwift Cog
    

## Installing the Zwift Cog

1.  Disconnect the power supply from your trainer.
    
2.  If your trainer already has a cassette installed, remove it:
    1.  Insert the Zwift multi-trainer tool into the nut or adapter in the center of the cassette.
        
    2.  Turn the tool counterclockwise to remove the nut or adapter.
        
        Keep the nut or adapter. You'll reinstall it later.
        
    3.  Pull the cassette off the trainer.
        
    4.  Remove the spacer from the trainer's axle.
        
3.  If the cassette you removed used a spacer, make sure you've removed the spacer from the trainer.
4.  Slide the larger included with your Zwift Cog onto the trainer axle.

5.  Push the Zwift Cog fully onto the trainer axle.

6.  Turn the Zwift Cog counterclockwise until you hear it click into place.
7.  Unless you're using a Zwift Hub, insert the smaller spacer included with your Zwift Cog onto the axle.
    
    Do not install the smaller spacer on a Zwift Hub.

8.  Reinstall the nut or adapter you removed earlier and finger-tighten it.

9.  Using the Zwift multi-trainer tool, tighten the drive side adapter by an additional quarter turn.
