# Fitness Metrics FAQ

Can I view my fitness metrics in Zwift?

You can view your fitness metrics at [zwift.com/feed](https://www.zwift.com/feed).

What information is included in my fitness metrics?

Your fitness metrics include data related to your power output. You can view your zFTP, zMAP, VO2max, and Peak Power values.

Your zFTP, zMAP, and VO2max values are calculated using your best peak power values from the last 90 days.

What is zFTP?

zFTP is an estimate of your current FTP based on your best power values from Zwift activities completed in the last 90 days. Zwift uses zFTP to determine your suggested category for events.

How is zFTP different from FTP?

FTP stands for Functional Threshold Power and represents the power you can typically sustain for about an hour. FTP can be manually set in-game for workouts.

zFTP is an estimated value generated from your recent Zwift activity data and can't be manually adjusted.

Changing your FTP doesn't change your zFTP.

Why does Zwift use zFTP?

zFTP gives Zwift a way to estimate your current fitness using your recent riding data. Zwift uses zFTP to help determine your suggested category for events.

Unlike FTP, zFTP is automatically estimated from your activities and can't be manually adjusted.

How is zFTP calculated?

zFTP is calculated using your peak power values from the last 90 days. Longer-duration efforts between 12 and 50 minutes have the greatest impact on the calculation.

The calculation estimates the power you can sustain for an extended effort lasting more than 40 minutes.

Why is my zFTP higher than some of my power values?

zFTP is estimated using multiple peak power efforts from the last 90 days. If some longer-duration efforts don't appear to reflect a maximal effort, Zwift may place more weight on shorter-duration efforts when estimating your zFTP.

What is zMAP?

zMAP estimates your Maximal Aerobic Power using your best short-duration power efforts from the last 90 days. It represents the power at which you achieve peak oxygen consumption during efforts lasting about four to six minutes.

zMAP is displayed in watts and watts per kilogram (w/kg).

What is VO2max?

VO2max estimates your maximal oxygen uptake relative to your weight. It's displayed in milliliters per kilogram per minute.

VO2max is calculated using your best short-duration power efforts from the last 90 days.

What is Peak Power?

Peak Power represents the highest power values you've achieved over specific time intervals in Zwift during the last 90 days. Peak Power is displayed in watts and watts per kilogram (w/kg).

All rides contribute to Peak Power calculations, whether the activity is saved or not.

How can I help Zwift better estimate my zFTP, zMAP, and VO2max?

Zwift estimates zFTP, zMAP, and VO2max using your Zwift activity data from the last 90 days. Completing maximum-effort rides across a variety of durations in Zwift can help produce more representative estimates.

If you mainly train outside Zwift, your estimates may not fully reflect your current fitness.

If my FTP increases in-game, does my zFTP also increase?

Not necessarily. FTP and zFTP are calculated differently and may not always match.

Should I use FTP or zFTP for workouts in Zwift?

You can manually adjust your FTP in-game to customize workout intensity. If you've completed recent maximum-effort efforts in Zwift, setting your FTP to match your zFTP may provide more accurate workout zones.
