# Error Code: z112

You see error code z112 when Zwift can't download or verify an updated file on your PC.

## Possible Causes

* Unstable or slow internet connection.

* Not enough available disk space.

* VPN or proxy interrupting downloads.

* Backup or sync software accessing the same files (for example, OneDrive or Dropbox).

* Zwift folder stored on a network location instead of your local PC.

## Resolution

Follow these steps in order. Check if the issue is resolved after each step.

1. Check your internet connection.

    *   Restart your router.

    * Run a [speed test](http://www.speedtest.net/) to confirm your connection is stable. Select a server in Los Angeles to ensure accurate results.

2. Free up disk space.

    * Make sure you have at least 5 GB of free space on your drive.

3. Disable VPN or proxy.

    * Temporarily turn off any active VPN or proxy service.

4. Pause backup or sync apps.

    * Pause apps like OneDrive or Dropbox while Zwift updates.

5. Verify Zwift folder location:

    * Make sure Zwift is installed on your local PC, not a network folder.

    * If your Zwift folder is located on a network folder, uninstall and reinstall Zwift.

### Verify Folder Location

1. Locate the **Z** icon in the taskbar notification area.

    * If needed, select **˄** to show hidden icons.

2. Right-click the **Z** icon and select **Open Logs Folder**.

3. Check the file path.

    * Confirm the folder is under **This PC** and not a network location.
