# Drop Shop FAQ

**Q:** What is the Drop Shop?

A: The Drop Shop is an in-game bike shop where you can redeem Drops for virtual equipment, including bike frames and wheelsets. If you're looking to purchase physical items such as trainers, [Zwift RunPods](https://zwift.com/shop/product/zwift-runpod "Zwift RunPods"), and Zwift apparel, visit our e-commerce site, the [Zwift Shop](https://zwift.com/shop "Zwift Shop").

**Q:** What are Drops?

A: Drops are in-game currency you earn when you ride. You can use your Drops to purchase items in the Drop Shop.

**Q:** How do I earn Drops?

A: You earn Drops by cycling in Zwift. The farther you go, higher you climb, more you level up, and more calories you burn, the more Drops you'll earn. You'll also receive a 2x Drops bonus for 15 seconds when you receive a Ride On from another Zwifter! Looking for more, we've got you covered—ride with a RoboPacer and you can multiply your Drops rate up to 2.5x. The longer you ride, the more you earn.

**Q:** Can I purchase Drops?

A:  Drops can't be purchased, gifted, or traded.

**Q:** Can I earn Drops from running in Zwift?

A:  Nope. Drops can only be obtained by cycling in Zwift.

**Q:**  Can I return or exchange items redeemed in the Drop Shop?

A: All transactions in the Drop Shop are final. Once you select and confirm an item, it can't be returned or exchanged.

**Q:** Where can I see my current balance?

A: You can view your current balance in a few different places:

*   Next to your initials on the Home Screen.
    
*   In the ride info box (the box with your distance, elevation, time, etc) on the Heads Up Display if you're in a ride.
    
*   In the Drop Shop.
    

**Q:** Can other Zwifters see my Drops balance?

A: Your Drops balance is private and can't be viewed by other Zwift users. However, if you upload screen-shots with your balance to a social media platform, it may be visible to other users on that service.

**Q:** Will my Drops expire?

A: As long as you have a Zwift account, your Drops won't expire even if you let your membership lapse. However, if you close your Zwift account, all your user info, including your Drops balance, will be deleted.
