# Controls Not Working on Zwift Click

Here's a few things to check if your Zwift Click isn't responsive to button presses:

* You're pressing the correct button for the [function](https://support.zwift.com/using-your-zwift-click-S1by2SXWp) you expect. Check out our article for info on [using your Zwift Click](https://support.zwift.com/using-your-zwift-click-S1by2SXWp).

* Your trainer is paired over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi if you're using [virtual shifting](https://support.zwift.com/en_us/virtual-shifting-faq-r16UiRFlT).

* Virtual shifting is enabled in your [in-game settings](https://support.zwift.com/en_us/in-game-settings-for-cycling-Hy_tSDDnt).

* The battery doesn't need to be replaced in your Zwift Click.

You can view the battery status in the PAIRED DEVICES screen in Zwift, or in the Zwift Companion app.

* The back cover is securely fastened on your Zwift Click.
* You have the [latest version](https://support.zwift.com/checking-your-game-version-H1wddkVR8) of Zwift installed on your device.

* The device you're running Zwift on is [supported](https://support.zwift.com/supported-devices-to-run-zwift-H1Cj9QbeB).

* You have the [latest firmware](https://support.zwift.com/en_us/updating-your-zwift-play-firmware-ryBfQDIIh) on your Zwift Click.

* Your Zwift Click is still connected to Zwift.

* You don't already have a Zwift Click paired to Zwift—only one Zwift Click V1 or one—both the left and right—Zwift Click V2 can be connected to Zwift at a time.

* There are no other steering devices connected to Zwift, such as a smart bike.

* Try powering off, then powering on the Zwift Click.

Ride On.
