# Connecting a Saris Trainer

Before you connect your Saris (previously known as CycleOps) trainer, visit the [Saris](https://support.saris.com/hc/en-us/categories/360002122754-Trainer-Questions- " Saris") page and complete their steps to set it up. After setting up your trainer, you’ve got a few options to connect to Zwift:

* For most Saris trainers, you can connect over ANT+ (requires an [ANT+ dongle](https://zwift.com/shop/product/ant-bundle "ANT+ dongle")) or with Bluetooth.
* You can connect as a direct drive trainer by selecting POWER SOURCE in the PARIED DEVICES screen.
* If you've got a Powerbeam Pro, you can connect over ANT+ or Bluetooth, depending on your specific model.

## Calibrating your Saris Trainer

Calibrating your Saris trainer will help you get the most out of Zwift. You can [calibrate your Saris trainer](https://support.saris.com/hc/en-us/articles/4760696019351-How-do-I-calibrate-my-smart-trainer) using the Saris Utility app
