If your Concept2 BikeErg PM5 goes into sleep mode, you'll need to repeat these steps.

1. On your BikeEgs's performance monitor, select **Menu** .
2. Select **More Options**.
3. Select  **Turn Wireless ON** .
4. If using Bluetooth, search for your trainer.
5. If using ANT+, select the **Connect with ANT+** button.
6. In Zwift, under the **Power** menu, search for your PM5 to pair it with whatever sensors you want.

If you have additional questions or concerns about the bike itself, check out [Concept2's service page](http://www.concept2.com/service) for more support.

## Checking for Updates

To check whether your PM5 needs an update, complete these steps:

1. On your BikeErg's performance monitor, select the **Menu** button.
2. Select the **More Options** button.
3. Select the **Utilities** button.
4. Select the **Product ID** button.
5. Compare your "PM Firmware Version" to the latest version listed on the [Concept2 website](https://www.concept2.com/service/monitors/pm5/firmware).
6. If the version numbers match, your PM5 is up-to-date.

## Updating PM5 Firmware

If you find your PM5's firmware is outdated, you will need a USB Type B cable to update it. To update your PM5, complete these steps:

1. On your PC or Mac, install the **Concept2 Utility** directly from the [Concept2 website](https://www.concept2.com/service/monitors/pm5/firmware).
2. Launch the **Concept2 Utility**.
3. Plug the USB Type B port into the back of the Performance Monitor and plug the other end of your cable into your computer.

USB Type B cables may have either a USB Type A or Type C port on the other end. Check your computer to see which type it accepts.

4. When the ![TV with device connection](https://zwiftdmz-marcom-us-east.s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/support/EN/Cycling/Resources/Images/Connected_Concept2_86x38.png "Connected") icon appears in the top right corner, select **Update Firmware**.
