# COMMUNITY GUIDELINES: RULES OF THE ROAD

Zwift’s mission is to make more people, more active, more often. Our community includes members of all ages, of all backgrounds, coming together to reach their fitness goals. We are passionate about achieving our mission together, and creating a community prioritizing fun experiences and well-being in our sport. We believe in supporting and motivating each other, and acting safely, responsibly, and respectfully. Here are some helpful guidelines (which we may update from time to time) to create the best experience possible for everyone. For a deeper dive, we recommend familiarizing yourself with the [Terms of Service](https://support.zwift.com/en_us/terms-of-service-HJt7VBYyH).

## HAVE FUN, BE KIND

People are on Zwift to get a solid workout, and have a good time while they do it. The vibe is generally light, friendly, and social.

You’ll see lots of chatter during group events, and are invited to join in. We ask that you be respectful while you’re on the training playground.

## THIS IS YOUR COMMUNITY

Zwift does not tolerate cyber-bullying, hate speech, harassment, threats, or personal attacks—within the game or anywhere else. If you are on the receiving end of this kind of behavior or see it happening to someone else, do not hesitate to flag it via [zwift.com/contact-us](https://www.zwift.com/contact-us), or by using the Companion App. Check out this [article](https://support.zwift.com/en_us/reporting-another-zwifter-Bk7_B0FNB) for more info.

We do our best to catch and remove inappropriate behavior, but remember this is your community too. We give you the tools to report anyone you believe is breaking the rules or deliberately disrupting the Zwift experience.

## ONE ZWIFT FOR ALL

Zwift is for everyone. Our community includes athletes of all ages, from all backgrounds and nationalities. Please refrain from adult or provocative topics (like politics) and inappropriate conversation while in global or event chat.

## WIN WITH GRACE, LOSE WITH DIGNITY

Don’t cheat. Don’t try to cheat either. Beyond the evils of weight doping (i.e., pretending to be much lighter than you really are), make sure you pick the right race category. Zwift loves healthy competition, but if you pick wrong, your pace will likely shatter the group and make the event miserable for everyone else. Know your fitness level, calibrate your equipment, and please follow the rules. If you think someone is cheating, please refrain from making accusations. Quite often, new members may simply need help with their setups. Be their hero and help them out!

In the spirit of keeping racing fair, for those who use ZwiftPower for results, here are several things we monitor to keep Zwift equitable; out of the ordinary/exceptional performance metrics without dual recording for validation, excessive changes to biometric information (e.g., height, weight), evidence of sticky watts or micro-bursting, and behavior against the spirit of the game.

## DON’T SOLICIT, SPAM, TROLL, OR BE A NUISANCE

"Solicit" means asking for or offering services, whether that's individually or in bulk. "Spam" means sending the same message repeatedly, whether that’s advertising, self-promotion, or just plain nonsense. "Troll" means posting content in the chat or on the forums that’s intended to anger, frustrate, or intentionally confuse. Don’t do any of these.

We do our best to catch and remove such content but remember this is your community too. We give you the tools to [report anyone](https://support.zwift.com/en_us/reporting-another-zwifter-Bk7_B0FNB) you believe is breaking the rules.

## RIDE ON

Celebrate the efforts of your fellow Zwifters and encourage them to keep going. If you receive a Ride On while pushing hard up a hill or smashing a PR, pass it on!
