*   Chain whip.

*   Lock ring bit tool.

    There are several different lock ring bit tools you can use—make sure you have a lock ring bit; lock ring bit wrench; or an all in one tool.

*   Torque wrench (optional).

## Removing the Freehub Body

Now that you have all your tools and your new freehub body, follow these steps to remove the freehub body from the Zwift Hub:

Don't feel like changing the freehub body yourself? Your local bike shop should be able to help.

1. If there's already a cassette installed on the Zwift Hub, [remove the cassette](https://support.zwift.com/en_us/removing-a-cassette-from-your-zwift-hub-BkBX2TIki) from the Zwift Hub.

2. Using the wrench included with your Zwift Hub, unscrew the drive side adapter.
3. Slide off the freehub body.

    Keep this safe, you might need it later.

## Installing the Freehub Body

Follow these steps to install a freehub body on your Zwift Hub:

1. If your new freehub comes with a spacer, install this on the axle now.
2. Install the new freehub on the axle.

    * You may need to rotate the freehub back and forth to get it in position.

3. [Install the appropriate cassette](https://support.zwift.com/en_us/installing-a-cassette-on-your-zwift-hub-SyMT8TWa5) for your new freehub.

4. Reinstall the quick release or thru axle drive side adapter and finger tighten.

    * Using the provided wrench, tighten the adapter half a turn. If you have a torque wrench, tighten the adapter to 6Nm.

    * Don't over tighten the drive side adapter as this could damage your trainer.

    Be careful to not cross the threads when screwing the cassette lock ring back onto the freehub body—as this can cause serious damage.

5. Now you're ready to [mount your bike](https://support.zwift.com/en_us/mounting-your-bike-on-the-zwift-hub-Hk5yTpIko) on your Zwift Hub.

Ride On.
