Q: How much do memberships cost?

Q: Will I get a free trial period when I sign up to Zwift?

A: If you're new to Zwift and you take out a monthly membership you won't be charged until you've completed your 14-day free trial. If you're new to Zwift and you take out an annual membership there's no trial, but you can cancel within the first 30 days for a full refund.

Q: How do memberships work?

A: When you sign up for a monthly membership you’ll get a 14-day free trial, once your trial period is over, your paid membership starts and automatically renews every month.

When you sign up for an annual membership, your membership starts immediately and will renew each year. Don't worry, we'll remind you when your renewal is coming up!

Q: Can I create multiple profiles under one Zwift membership?

A: Your Zwift membership is for your own personal use and you can create one profile in-game per membership. If you'd like to create additional profiles you'll need to create an account for each. Check out our End User License Agreement for more info.

Q: What forms of payment can I use for my Zwift membership?

A: Available payment methods will vary depending on your billing address, we currently support credit card payments via Visa®, MasterCard®, American Express®, Discover®, JCB®, and PayPal®.

Q: Can I pay for my membership with Direct Debit or a debit card?

A: Starting January 2025, we no longer accept Direct Debit as a payment option for new or reactivating memberships. However, if your bank allows you to run transactions on your debit card as credit, you can pay with your debit card.

If you're currently paying for your membership with Direct Debit, your membership will continue to renew until you update your payment method or cancel your membership.

Q: Can I pay for my membership with a Zwift Gift Card?

A: No, our gift cards are exclusively for merchandise on the Zwift Shop.

Q: Can I update my payment method for my Zwift membership?

A: Yes, whether you have a monthly or an annual membership, you can update your payment method by visiting zwift.com/billing/memberships.

Q: Can I pause my Zwift membership?

A: Some monthly memberships paid via credit card or PayPal can be paused, annual memberships can't be paused.

Q: Can I buy a Zwift membership for someone else?

A: You cannot purchase a Zwift membership on behalf of another member. The Zwift account that is logged in at the time of purchase will be the account that receives the membership.

Q: Can I transfer my Zwift membership to another member?

A: Zwift memberships can't be transferred.

Q: Can I change the billing date for my Zwift membership?

A: While you can't change the billing date for your membership, you can cancel and resubscribe on the day you wish to be billed after your membership lapses.

Q: Can I change between annual and monthly memberships?

A: You can switch from a monthly membership to an annual membership. Check out our updating your membership type article for more info.

Q: I am moving to another country. Can I update my Zwift membership to my new currency before the next billing cycle?

A: You can cancel your membership and resubscribe with your updated billing information and currency.

Q: How can I confirm if I have a membership?

A: Checking your membership status is easy, just visit zwift.com/billing/membership.

Q: Can I permanently delete my account?

A: Yes. If you do permanently delete your account all your data and progress will be removed and can’t be restored. You’ll also need to cancel your paid membership first.

Canceling Your Membership

Q: Can I cancel my Zwift membership?

A: Yes. If you cancel your Zwift membership, your progress will be saved so you can come back whenever you want. You'll also be able to continue riding for the remainder of your billing cycle. If you have an annual membership, you're a first-time subscriber, and you cancel in the first 30 days, you're eligible for a full refund.

If you do cancel, you can change your mind within 24 hours and reinstate your membership by visiting zwift.com/billing/membership and selecting Activate.

Q: If I cancel before my membership is up, can I get a refund for any unused time?

A: When you cancel your Zwift membership you'll be able to continue riding for the remainder of your billing cycle—the remainder of a month or a year, you won't receive a refund for any unused time.

Q: Do I need to give notice to cancel my membership?

A: To avoid being charged for another month or year, please ensure to cancel your membership at least 24 hours before your next scheduled billing date. If you're paying by Direct Debit, please cancel your membership at least 7 days before your next scheduled billing date.

Q: I canceled my membership, why does it still show active?

A: On the first of every month we'll give you another chance to try Zwift with 25km of free riding. You'll see this noted on your zwift.com/billing/membership page as: Status: 25 Km (Active).

Q: I received an error message when I tried to cancel. How do I cancel?

A: If you've confirmed you have an active membership on your zwift.com/billing/membership page and you're receiving an error when trying to cancel, reach out to us—we're here to help.

Q: I'm paying for Zwift via Apple, how do I cancel?

A: You'll need to cancel through Apple. Check out Apple's website for more info.

Q: I'm paying via Apple and I've deleted my Zwift account, why am I still being charged?

A: You'll need to cancel your Zwift membership through Apple. Check out Apple's website for more info.

Q:  I thought I canceled my membership, but I'm still being charged, what can I do?

A: You can check the status of your membership on your zwift.com/billing/membership page. If you don't have an active membership, you might want to check if you could be paying for a membership for anyone else in your household. If you need more help, reach out to us with the following info:

  • A screen shot of the most recent charge.

  • The date, amount, and currently of the most recent charge.

  • Details of your payment method:

    • Credit or Debit Card: Please provide the last 4 digits of the card and the last name on the card.

    • PayPal: Please include the email address associated with your PayPal account.

    • Direct Debit: Please provide the mandate or reference number for the charge.
