# Adjusting Your Zwift Cog Sprocket

If you have the second-generation—the orange—Zwift Cog, you can turn the outside dial to select from 10 sprocket positions ensuring optimal chain alignment.

*   **Zwift Ride:** If you are using your Zwift Cog with a Zwift Ride, we recommend using position 1 on your Zwift Cog.
    
*   **Outdoor Bike:** If you are using your Zwift Cog with an outdoor bike, we recommend starting at position 1 on your Zwift Cog and adjusting as necessary to achieve optimal chain alignment.
