Clubs FAQ
Q: I want to start a club. What are the requirements to create a club?
A: There are a couple requirements in order to create a club. Club creators must be paying Zwift subscribers, above a level 5 cyclist or level 5 runner, and have an account in good standing. With a limit of 50 clubs per member, creators must be in 49 clubs or fewer in order to create a new one. Additionally, all club members must be over the age of 16.
Currently, club creation and all clubs tools are available as part of your paid membership. You can access clubs tools in the Zwift Companion (ZC) app which is free and available on iOS and Android. As a club owner, you should use the most recent version of the ZC app for the best experience managing your club.
These requirements may change in the future.
Q: I meet the requirements for creating a club. How do I get started?
A: First things first, you'll need the latest version of the ZC app. Please check to see if you have the latest ZC. If not, you'll need to update it in the app store. Once you’ve updated ZC, you’ll want to check out our creating a club article for step-by-step instructions on how to get started.
Once your club is created, you may invite additional members and select members to elevate as additional club owners and moderators.
Q: I don't want to start a club, but I do want to join one. How do I find a club to join?
A: If you know the name of the club you would like to join, simply toggle to "All Clubs" in the Clubs tab of ZC and search for the name. If you’d like to explore available clubs, you may use the filtering options (found on the right of the search bar) to focus your search.
Once you find a club you wish to join, simply select "ask to join".
Clubs that have reached their membership capacity or are not accepting new members may not have the "ask to join" option.
Q: How do I invite people to my club?
A: Check out our article for info on inviting people to your club and managing your club members.
Q: Is there an age requirement for being a club owner or club member?
A: Club members must be 16 years of age or older and must be invited to the club by a club owner.
Q: My friend/son/daughter/nephew/cousin is under 16 years of age. Can I invite them to my club?
A: No. Only Zwifters 16 years of age or older can participate in clubs.
Q: As a club owner, what types of events can I create with clubs?
A: Currently, you can create group rides, run events, and group workouts on a private club calendar or with a public shareable link. Check out our article to learn more about creating an event for your club .
Q: Do club events connect to ZwiftPower?
A: Not at this time.
Q: Why doesn’t my event show on the Zwift public calendar?
A: All club events are featured on your club’s private calendar. While the events sit on a private event calendar, you may share a club event in a public space, like Facebook, via the event share link. To do so, requires that you set your event visibility so "anyone with the event link" can join.
Q: I would like to create an event on Zwift’s public calendar, can I do that with clubs?
A: Clubs are intended to provide owners and members with opportunities to experience private events. You may share private club events in a public space via the event share link.
Q: Who can join my event—is it only those who are members of my club?
A: When creating an event, you may set the visibility to either "only club members" or "anyone with the event link can join". If you select "only club members", only your club members will be able to join. If you select "anyone with the event link"—it will allow anyone to join.
Q: Is there a limit on the number of people that can join my event?
A: No. Anyone with access to a publicly shared event link is able to join a club event, as long as the event visibility is set to "anyone with the event link".
Q: Can I add a Discord link to my event?
A: Yes! Check out this article for info on adding a Discord link.
Q: Is there a limit on the number of clubs I can create or join?
A: In clubs, you will only be able to create and/or join 50 clubs.
Q: Is there a limit on the number of members I can invite?
A: The limit on how many members can join each club is 85,000. However, by sharing a club event link in a public space via an event share link, your club events may allow even more Zwifters to participate in your events.
Q: What are club moderators and what can they do?
A: Club owners are able to elevate existing club members to club moderators. Moderators have some of the same features as owners. Currently, moderators can create and edit club events, create club announcements, invite members, accept/reject requests to join, ban, or kick members from the group.
Q: As a club owner, what customization is available for my club?
A: You will be able to customize your club name and club moto. Your club colors, header and event images can be pre-selected based on a variety of different options. That said, we know showcasing your club identity through customized features is an important aspect of all cycling and running clubs and of club culture in general.
Q: I want a custom kit. Is that an option?
A: Clubs is currently unable to support any custom kit designs.
Q: Are features in clubs available in languages other than English?
A: At this time, all clubs features are available in 8 languages, English, French (France), German, Italian, Spanish (Spain), Japanese, Korean, and Traditional Chinese. Events and club chats are not localized and events will display for all members in the language they were created in.

A: We're glad you asked! Check out our forums to find the latest discussions.
Q: How can I set a recurring weekly event for my club?
A: The ability to set a recurring weekly event for clubs is currently unavailable.
Q: How do I delete a club once I’ve created it?
A: The best way to currently remove a club that you have created from your list of clubs is to “leave” the club. With that said, individual club names must be unique. Therefore, keep that in mind if you plan to re-start a club under the same name in the future.
Q: If I create a club and then leave it, does it count towards my allotment of 10 clubs?
A: Nope, it does not. Clubs are not permanently tied to a user and once you leave it, it no longer counts toward the 10 clubs allotment. With that said, individual club names must be unique. Therefore, keep that in mind if you plan to re-start a club under the same name in the future.
Q: Is there a limit to how many events I can create within a club?
A: Currently, the following limitations are in place:
Only 10 events can exist within a 1 hour period per club.
Events can be scheduled a maximum of 28 days in advance.
Q: Where can I find my club events?
A: As a club member or owner, your clubs’ events will populate in the main events list in the companion app, on the Zwift.com events website, and in-game event list when you are signed into your account. You can also access all your club events in the ZC app in the Clubs tab under "Club Events". This private club event calendar is available for club members only.
Q: Is there a limit to the number of club members that can be assigned as moderators and owners?
A: Nope, there is no limit to how many members can be an owner or moderator.
Q: How do notifications for clubs work?
